 VIOREL NICOLESCU, President of the Pedagogy Academy Association, is Professor Emeritus Professor at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences (pedagogy history courses, comparative pedagogy and alternative pedagogues) and doctoral supervisor within the same institution.

  CRINA DAMŞA, Associate Professor PhD, Department of Education, University of Oslo   

 

    

Crina Damşa is Associate Professor at the Department of Education, University of Oslo, in Norway. She is also a member of the LINK Centre for Learning, Innovation and Academic Development at the same university, with responsibilities for professional development of the academic staff.

Crina’s research focuses on student learning processes, design of learning environments and use of digital-material resources in higher education teaching and learning activities. Her research examines learning through collaboration and inquiry-based activities, and how pedagogical principles can combine with the use of digital technologies for learning. Recent publications highlight ways of introducing students to the practices and knowledge of various domains (software engineering, teaching, law) and how design for learning can happen in order to foster student engagement and participatory conduct. Her work provides basis for valuable recommendations for both teachers in higher education and for institutions that wish to support students in their learning and development.

Professor Cristian Vasile, PhD, MD, teaches at the University of Ploiesti, Romania. He is involved also in private practice as a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Senior Psychotherapist for more than 20 years.

Dr. Cristian Vasile is the President of the International Society for Applied Psychology (http://isapsy.org) being also an active member of other professional organizations, e.g. American Psychological Association, Romanian College of Psychologists.

In his capacity of Editor-in-Chief Dr. Vasile manages the editorial activities of Journal of Educational Sciences & Psychology, an international peer-reviewed academic journal, indexed in major academic databases (http://jesp.upg-ploiesti.ro). Professor Vasile is also a member of the editorial board of other scientific international journals, such as Journal of Medical and Psychological Trauma (https://openaccesspub.org/journal/jmpt/editorial-board).

Professor Cristian Vasile is the author of the Identity Structures theory and Identity Structures Inventory (ISI), an instrument which can be applied in different fields: psychology, education, psychotherapy and mental health, personal development, human resources, medicine etc.

Before joining the University of Ploiesti, Dr. Vasile worked as clinical psychologist for different mental health institutions and as a counselor for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees – UN Agency 

Domains of study: clinical psychology; cognition and neuropsychology; anthropological psychology; education; psychotherapy.

Dr. Andreea Szilagyi currently serves as the VP for NBCC International. In this capacity, she is active in supporting global efforts for professionalizing the counseling profession. Dr. Szilagyi holds a doctorate in education (the first with a counseling focus in Romania) and a degree in education from the University of Bucharest, Romania. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a registered Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) International Master Trainer and Mental Health Facilitator (MHF) master trainer.

Dr. Szilagyi founded and is currently the vice-president of the Romanian Counselors Association and a former member of the executive board of the International Association for Counseling. She has served as faculty for several universities in Romania and is one of the first counselor educators in Eastern Europe with expertise in the practice of school and career counseling. Other areas of expertise: counselor education, supervision in counseling, the development of the counseling profession, and certification across borders.

Dr. Nicoleta Litoiu is serving as a Professor at the Teacher Training Department and as the Director of Career Guidance and Counseling Centre in University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Romania. She has experience in coordination, monitoring and specific evaluation activities for national and international projects, co-financed by prestigious institutions/organizations/structures such as World Bank, PHARE, European Union etc.

In more than 20 years of professional experience in the field of general education, Dr. Litoiu has been involved in: teaching activities; professional development of training programs (from design to implementation); development of research studies; coordination of the Master program “Career counseling and management”; providing career counseling services; coordination of the assessment and evaluation activities related to outcomes and impact of the General Reform of Romanian Education System Project, Rural Education Project and Romanian Secondary Education Project (ROSE); design and implementation national and international assessments of students’ achievements etc.

Dr. Litoiu is certified by the Ministry of National Education and other national and international institutions, organizations/training centers and NGO’s (i.e. EDC – SUA, CEDU 2000+, British Council, European Board for Certified Counselors – Portugal etc.) as national trainer on educational curriculum and evaluation process, teacher trainer on project management and educational process issues, Career Consultant GCDF, Master Trainer (Global Career Development Facilitator), and Certified Supervision Professional for helping professions etc.
